I love being outside in the summer, but one thing that freaks me out during summertime are spiders; eek! When I see a spider in my house, I totally transform from an independent momma into a squealing little girl. Luckily, I found a natural way to reduce the number of spiders that are hanging around, using peppermint! Spiders hate peppermint, so I made a spray using peppermint oil to keep them at bay. Even better, your house will smell minty fresh & it’s all natural, so no need to worry about chemicals.
What you’ll need:
- Spray Bottle
- Peppermint Oil
How to make:
- Fill the spray bottle with water.
- Add several drops of peppermint oil (I add around 15-20 drops…enough to make it smell pepperminty) & shake
- Spray around doorways, perimeters of your rooms (anywhere spiders come in)
- Repeat as needed (after mopping etc)
Try this too:
You can also put a few drops of peppermint oil on cotton balls & put them in the corners, windows etc.
Now, the spiders can serve their purpose…OUTSIDE vs in your house :)
