Naturally Plump & Nourish Skin-DIY Honey Tonic

I love using honey in my homemade beauty products due to all of the benefits it provides and this is no exception. This DIY  natural honey tonic comes from Dr Carmen, who I will be telling you more about more in the near future. Dr Carmen (Tru Identity) offers natural facial and body rejuvenation without the use of lasers or injections, she’s a true expert in her field so I trust her advice. I have been a Tru-Identity/Facial Rejuvenation client for several months now and the procedure has made such a  wonderful difference in my skin. I’ll tell you more about Dr Carmen, Tru-Identity and all the wonderful services she provides in a later post but for now I’ll share her awesome Honey Tonic.

HONEY ON SKIN – Use to nourish and plump

FACE

Honey is a natural substance that can be used to give skin a beautiful glow and acts as a “plumping” agent on fine lines. When applied to damp skin, honey is not sticky and will work into the skin quickly. Honey acts as a natural humectant and exfoliant and works with your beauty products by enabling better absorption of said products.

  • Apply 1-2 drops honey to wet fingertips and massage onto wet face. Do not rinse. Pat dry.

Honey contains:24 Sugars, 11-21 Amino acids, 18 Sugar acids, 11 Minerals, 5 Enzymes and at least 4 different proteins.

Note: I use local honey, which you can buy at the health food store. Why? I read that 76% of honey sold is fake and diluted with high-fructose corn syrup, which I don’t want to eat or put on my skin. You want the real deal..it’s a little more expensive but it goes a long way.
