DIY Fix Broken Makeup

A few weeks ago my daughter got into my makeup and sadly broke my favorite bronzer (tear). I didn’t throw it away, even though it made a huge mess, because I was hoping to find a  way to fix it…and I did; yes!

This is how you do it:

  • Break down the makeup into smaller pieces
  • Put a few drops of rubbing alcohol into the compact
  • Rub the alcohol into the powder using your finger or a spoon to reform it (I used a spoon at the end to make it as even as I could)
  • Give several hours to dry or just leave overnight

Now, it won’t quite look the same as you can see from the picture but it works just fine. I tried the bronzer after it was dry and it works great, I couldn’t tell that it was ever broken. Hooray, success!!!

So next time, don’t ditch your makeup…just bring it back to life.

PS-this is not my tip. I found this a couple of weeks ago and sadly I can’t remember where I saw it now and I’m kicking myself for not doing so, for I want to give credit to the fab girl who taught me this. When I find it, I’ll post on here.

Later,

Erin

I should have done this with the eye makeup I just received in one of my boxes, rather than throw it away! Bummer.
